About
Angelisa is a UX and Product Design leader with over a decade of experience, particularly in the consumer electronics space. Her career spans a dynamic mix of experimental and innovative projects across both physical and digital domains.
She has worked with renowned creative agencies such as Unit9, AKQA, Ogilvy, and Designit, and contributed to cutting-edge R&D initiatives at global tech leaders like Samsung, in the Visual Display Division of Samsung Design Europe. She also played a pivotal role in software product design at the groundbreaking tech startup Nothing Technology. Currently, she is a freelance Lead Designer at ustwo. Her recent clients also include Apple and Huawei.
At Nothing she contributed to the launch of the highly acclaimed smartphones, Phone (1) and Phone (2), and earbuds, Ear (stick) and Ear (2). She has worked extensively on the design of the Nothing OS and Nothing native apps, while also defining the UX and interaction design for the award winning Glyph Interface, Nothing's mobile signature feature.
Understanding and prioritising user needs are her core focus for creating functional and delightful designs. In addition to hands-on design work, she indeed strategically plans and leads large user research projects, leveraging data-driven insights to shape design decisions.
She has a master in Interaction Design from the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) and she has also a Master of Science in Media Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, including studies in Management of Technology at EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). Her unique blend of Interaction Design and Media Engineering, coupled with her creative flair nurtured through studies in dance and music, sets her apart in the field.
She exhibited her works and participated at international festival such as Transart, Resonate, FISAD, Wave: Light+Water+Sound Art Festival (Colorado) and she has been invited as a speaker for the Birmingham Design Festival, Maker Faire Rome, Creative Mornings Turin, Studio Carlo Ratti Associati (Pecha Kucha presentation), Adaptive Environments Research at ITU University - Copenhagen. She collaborated with outstanding artists, e.g. the composer and musician Michele Tadini and the multimedia artist Claudio Sinatti.
Angelisa holds a 5th year Diploma in Classical Guitar (Conservatorio di Musica N. Piccinni, Bari) and an advanced certification in Ballet (Advanced 1, Royal Academy of Dance). Nowadays she trains in contemporary dance, yoga and reformer pilates in her free time.
